Bacall Companies LLC has purchased this 41,400-square-foot office building in downtown Birmingham at 390 Park St. for an undisclosed price as the company moves its headquarters to the swank Oakland County downtown.

The Bacall brothers have purchased another downtown Birmingham property, adding to their company’s growing portfolio.

This time, Bacall Companies LLC has paid an undisclosed amount for the roughly 41,400-square-foot office building at 390 Park St., which will become a new headquarters for the four brothers’ real estate firm. They plan on consolidating operations from locations in Detroit and Allen Park.

The building had been owned by The Magni Group, an automotive supplier which will remain a tenant on the third floor while Bacall Companies will take the second floor.

“Over the past 18 months, we started buying properties in Birmingham so we figured to move our headquarters to Birmingham,” said Dante Bacall, who runs Bacall Companies along with his brothers Daivin, Dorayd and Doval as principals/partners.

This follows the $14 million purchase of 380 N. Old Woodward Ave. in March 2022, the $12.25 million purchase of the Huntington Center office building at 220 Park St. in December 2022 and the $37 million purchase of the retail and office components of the Birmingham Place property at 401 S. Old Woodward Ave. in September 2022.

AERES Real Estate brokered the sale.

Daivin Bacall said improvements will be made to common areas and corridors in 390 Park, which also has smaller users on the first floor, such as medical offices.

The company has about 3,000 square feet in Detroit, plus 5,000 square feet of office space and 10,000 square feet of warehousing space, some of which the company will continue to operate even though executives are moving to Birmingham, Daivin Bacall said.

Bacall Companies started as an investment firm focusing on value-add properties and ultimately added development to its repertoire, building more than 30 projects in Michigan, New York, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina, according to the company’s website. It has done build-to-suit projects for Walgreen’s, Family Dollar and other companies and focuses on retail and shopping center projects up to 150,000 square feet.
